C# or C++?

*Not better as in easy, better as in which would be the most rewarding to learn.

Also, which is more flexible? I wanted to learn a bit of C# or C++ this summer, and I wanted to know which would be better* to learn.

I have some experiance with or and either, but I found those where really hard, so I had to quit the or, either class

Yeah, I know it is going to be hard, which is why I was thinking of starting from a generally easier language first, say Java. That way I won't be starting in C#/C++ with absolutely no knowledge at all of how programming works.
