Author Topic: How science may kill us all come October 12th  (Read 7018 times)

Good points, but never has a single moment in time been so significant to so many people and cultures. Christians believe in the rapture and apacolypse, Nostradamus perdicts the rise of the antichrist and foretells of a devestating asteroid, The Chinese believe in the end of history, the Hopi Indians believe in a great cleansing, The Mayan calender ends and foretells of Earth's last day, The prophecies of St. Malachy perdict only one more pope, Albert Einstein warns of polar shift, NASA fears that intense solar storms are coming, Numerology brings about some signs, the celestial sign of the devil (according to the Mayans) will realign in 2012, etc.
I think something which we all can agree on is that the times we live in now are bad and are only getting worse.

If I'm correct, the Bible states that the end date can't be known. After all, it's hard to come like a thief in the night when everyone is expecting you to come December 23, 2012.

On a side note, I don't think I'm the only person who thinks that the sun will come out tomorrow. You just need a little faith and a little hope, something that you should have in abundance.

People have been obsessed with an absolute mass expiration date for ages. The first I know of is the infamous 1960s doomsday date, which didn't occur. There was another doomsday date before 2000 as well, and of course the year 2000 was also a doomsday date.

And now we have 2012, after that it will be somewhere in the 2040s (Nostradamus predictions or some stuff).

It's really sad how everyone is so obsessed with the end of humanity. I mean Jesus forget, does everyone absolutely need to know when they're going to die, to a point where they become obsessed with it?

After 2012 humanity will find itself another doomsday to help keep itself occupied. Calling this.

We will all become a human box. ALRIGHT!

ITS ALL A HOAX WERE NOT GONNA DIE

It's December 12

Also, WRB, the 20+12=32 (23 backwards) thing was win. :D

Maybe the aliens will save us.

They are firing Supercharged Ions down a tunnel. Theoretically, they exceed or equal the speed of light and CAN create Negative mass. But that's just a Theory, and it's not specifically the only thing the LHC does.

FURTHERMORE: The Higgs-Boson is a Hypothetical particle That explains how Particles Gain(ed) mass. It'll unify the standard Model of physics.
The theory is wrong. No matter can be fired at the speed of light without becomeing energy first. Otherwize it would slow itself down due to it's increasing mass and dencity.

I say that using the infromation that says that it creates mass in a massless enviroment (Vacume) that it be a good explaination of how the hell the big bang started. The thing is that I still say that the higgs boson is a bunch of bull. They will have to find their TOE somewere else. As for now the LHC is being made for its attempt to create a higgs boson.

And Muffinmix, You forgot 06-06-06

I thought it was December 21st?

Anyway that article was cool Chex. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome, but I'm a bit skeptical on that thing...I believe it, but I don't.

I mean, come ON! The stereotypical grey? GAWD.

It's December 12

According to this sketchy occult website, it's the 23rd.

Wikipedia (Though it doesn't account for much, as I could have easily edited it in the past day) also corroborates this date, although it states that the 23rd is an alternative to the 21st state.

Large hardon collider. /thread

It will be a small black hole, small black holes can only attract particles as small as it, and they don't generally grow in size unless it engulfs something huge, like a sun. But that takes a big blackhole, such as when a sun collapses into a blackhole.

I don't think there will be problems, but then again RESONANCE CASCADE FAILURE OH NO!
