Iron Man Skins: Help

Author Topic: Iron Man Skins: Help  (Read 823 times)

Hello once again,

I'm having a little trouble with these skins I made. Sure, I'm a total Newbie for using Microsoft Paint, but its all I have for now (If you guys have any other programs to suggest, please do!) and I made some pretty good Iron Man Skins. The helmet looks (In my point of view) Amazing. The suit, not so much, but still good.

Here they are:

So yes, they do look pretty good (Bad quality because of stupid Facebook)

I need help with one thing: The body makes the whole body peice completely red all around (odd, I only need to color it blue, for the center power thingy!) but, the helmet, the only color you can use is white, because any other colour makes the mask all weird coloured. so, of course, that makes the rest of the head peice white. REALLY dorky. so I was wondering if you guys knew how to fix this.

Thanks for your help!

Oh, by the way, heres the .zip if you need to edit yourself: http://www.mediafire.com/?tnyht0l01vb

First off, you don't need to post us a link to download it, we can right click on the picture and save it directly.
and if im reading your question correctly you need make it so that the body of the Minifig is not red when you are useing the texture.  you could make the red parts of the texture transparent to fix this via paint.net if you have it, (Google it if you don't its free) as to why its doing that it's because the red is touching the edges of the picture.

also, in my opinion, if you did that using Microsoft paint then you have a future in textureing, just use paint.net and you could really make some good textures.

Nope, still not working. Its getting really annoying too! the chest peice works fine... but the blue cicle turns dark dark red when you colour the body piece red!

Would you be able to give me a few small pointers?

Well I haven't actually made any textures im just remembering what I've read in the texture section of the forums, so I hope someone who knows more about textures can help you, sorry
