which system is better windows or the mac. I think Mac Because its faster and takes 30 seconds to start windows takes 5 minutes so its your choice which is better.
Mac: Fast loading
Faster sites
Good games.
Windows Very slow loading
can get Rar And EXE files.
Alot of downloads for it. I have both. But please stop saying which is better.

Mac is kewl but i am used to windows.

i don't get how your comparing speed. either one can be fast or slow at anything depending on hardware.
and rar/exe's? how are they pro or con? that don't even make sense in this argument.

the bulk of mac users know less about computers then anyone ive met on the net.

First off you lie then you claim mac's have faster sites (but that only depends on your internet connection you dip) and then you say they have good games?!?! Hardly any games are mac exclusive. But a lot of good games are windows exclusive. If you are naming pros why did you say slow loading for windows? You biased this against windows how is that fair you chicken stuff! How can you compare things if you ignore all the bad parts of the one you like and only say bad parts of the one you don't like. And then you go and say to not compare them in the same post as you compare them in a topic you made all about comparing them??? Go get a brain and a good OS.

I'm waiting for a mac user to tell me what their lovely OS can do that windows/other OS's cant.

i just keep seeing this crap about media and web design. are mac users all dumb enough to think this has anything to do with the OS? the apps being used are all the same as other OS's use.
if anything, mac falls short because of its far inferior hardware options.

Popular Science compared Pcs and Macs with simualer Price and hardware and the macs ran much faster.

Windows baby! why? because is just that....software. They don't try to dominate every aspect of computing including hardware like Apple.

Hence the great variety of applications and the inherently open nature of Windows

You can bitch all you want about crappy performance, crashing, and viruses but that all boils down to poor hardware, unstable applications and user error.

Besides, the rest of us don't need to wear turtlenecks and use round white blocks to feel good about ourselves.

Oh, and vista loads in about a minute for me, if you can't wait that long then maybe you need to rethink some things.

EDIT: forgot to mention, if you really must have your system ready instantly then instead of turning off your computer, just put it into auto sleep mode. It saves energy and opens instantly.

My computer boots up to my desktop in about 40 seconds. (It's Window's Vista)

I think your confused. Yes, Microsoft does own 90% of the market, but that is because those people chose that OS, because that OS was mainstream, it was proven, it is compatible with the applications they need and the hardware they have.

Mac dominates EVERYTHING with their product though, its not just an OS, its hardware that you basically have to use and guess who owns the whole shabam? Apple. As of late that decision has come to bite them in the butt and so now we see Apple blurring the lines a bit between the 2 operating systems.
