You have to many backround processes running. Press ctrl+alt+delete, switch to the processes tab, and end some. Be careful what you end, if you don't know what you are doing, your computer will turn off.

I End task'ed explorer once. Had to restart computer.

Ok i restarted my computer the ctrl alt delete after i wase done it still did not work
This is what it looks like:

I have XP and Aot worked win it wase on this computer but i like to program in vb5.0 and it dos not work on XP!!!!

Go+

So i can't play Aot on this computer?
What i am thinking is that the computer is going to slow with 98 on it because it worked on XP.

If you're running win98, your processor might just be too slow or you might not have enough ram.

What's your processor speed and how much ram do you have?

Go+

I have 512MB Ram
and i have a AMD Athlon Processor i can't find the speed ware does it say the speed?

Go+

Ok i found my processor speed it's: 857MHz

Go+

Ok will is my processor to slow?

I've determined that slower processors can't place all of the grass before their connection to the server times out.

To get around this problem:
-Start AoT
-Press ~ (near the 1 key) to open the console
-Type $pref::Grass::replicationRatio = 0;
-Press enter
-Press ~ again to close the console
-Click Connect
