No you see y vb5.0 does not work on 98 is because regestering is not dont the same on XP. so then thares a lot of stuff i cant use.

Go+, Windows 98 + 512 is a major no-no. Anyways see if you can install Windows 2000 on it. Being Windows ME is based off the same kernel of Windows 98, and is unstable, and WIndows XP would run laggish on the computer.

I dont have 2000 all i have is NT4.0 lol ,95 ,98 ,XP Home
and VB5.0 is builted for 95/NT4.0

It does not lag. You get low framerate because you have an ANCIENT computer. Turn all the graphics options off/down/up/whatever
