Welp here it is, Official Review.
First off, heres my score:

As you can see, much higher than the last score I gave of 2. And no, it's not cause I'm in it. (though that did help)
No what really got me was the actual use of cinematics. Great camera angles, dramatic music, better sets (if not well detailed), pretty neat maps and well thought out story. Except for the ending, but we'll get to that (without spoilers, I assure).
It started off with an interesting story, the men were finishing their training and get to go home. While at home an overjoyed Peter sees his dad again for the first time in what might have been years. They have a heart to heart chat and go to bed that night feeling all warm and fuzzy. Of coarse happiness ends when the town they're in is under fire. Peter is shipped away for special training after surviving a Naval attack (assumable Pearl Harbor). He ships off to the final battle where the show down of the end of the war begins.
So with a pretty good story set up there you can see why it's worth watching. But the ending however is what threw it from the full 5 star potential.
The ending was so anti-climatic that I nearly got angry that he didn't at least throw something in there to please. It ends so abruptly that it leaves you unsatisfied with what happened. As well, one other thing took away to the 5 star studded score, was that it was slow. There were the action scenes, and then there were the drama scenes, but then there were these "filler scenes" that had some dialog and advanced the story a little, but the pacing was so off beat I skipped through them for lack of a want to watch through them.
All in all, it was a decent film, and I still stand by what I said about:
I don't expect cinema gold to come out of blockland
So for an effort to try and produce just that, cinema gold, I will say: Congrats Dark Star, you've actually made a film I'd watch. Maybe not twice, but It'd be one of those where I'd say: "meh, go rent it, its worth seeing" And I know that's not exactly a complement, but in this day and age and in this media your producing in (machinima) that's a plus.
And how come nobody said nothing bout' no acting skillz I posses. Lol :D. Well maybe not exactly golden globe worthy, but come on, say something!
