Author Topic: Blockland has bad graphics  (Read 3643 times)

I hope it's going to be this good in v9 because it's not now currently. Unless Badspot just used megashot  :cookieMonster:

I believe it was DOF + Megashot + a few graphical tweaks.

Look at the link for images, maybe a new graphic setting? (HD?)

I think Badspot should make a demo V9 video so we know what it's like, you know like a trailer.

Wait these pictures are better then the current blockland?

How?

Where?

Why?

Moo?

The second one looks epic, and the third is now my background, great job with the photography on those pictures.

That Megashot really brings out the beauty of Blockland :D

I love you, Badspot.<3

That what I'm Wondering

Edit: Actually after comparing them to another picture they look like their anti-aliased

Cool build window effect:
Get a dark map: Silhouette, Destruct Dark or such things.
Build a room and make a couple of elevated windows.
Outside of the windows add some player or bright lights.

Blockland is one of the best games I have ever seen when it comes to the lighting systems, but I am still wishing for volumetric lighting type things.

lol@randompost

Anywho... epic shots, can't decide which to background. D:

Maybe I'll just do the setting that will switch through those 4. :D

Edit: You have inspired me to do a ginormous megashot of some epic build, since my screen is rather too big.

These are screenshots of regular Blockland taken at 1680x1050 with 3x megashot then resampled down to 1920x1200.  The artillery scene is a DOF screenshot, the rest are not.  If you have a high end card like an 8800 and you set your display preferences to "quality" in the Nvidia control panel, the game looks quite close to this.

The coolness of the shots mainly comes from the composition and lighting.
