Does a PS3 come with an HD output cable?

Recently my Dad got an HD tv thingy and is now wants to know if we could hook the PS3 up to it. Does anyone remember or know if their PS3 came with the cable, because if it does, then I know where to find it. But I would rather you guys tell me ahead of time before I go on some wild escapade into the dark recesses of my garage in search of a non-existant cable thing.

If I remember correctly, it does not. However, you can get one for $8 online. NEVER GET HDMI CABLE IN STORES!!!!! THEY COST $300!
