Author Topic: Building Spaces?  (Read 1747 times)

How the heck do you get it that big? Mine will only go 1024X768.

Depends on your computer, really.
It depends on your drivers. If you can find the support/ update page to your drivers and update them. Before updating I could only get to 1024x768, Now I get after updating them around 1280x768.

Just find Wallet.  He knows all about this sort of thing.

I don't have retail yet (Still saving for my Laptop), but could the admin (being Me) own everything, then give seperate baseplates to people? That way I choose who owns what?

Can anyone answer my question?

you need to contact Wallet.  He made an economy sim that used building spaces.  He's the only person who I know of with any experiance with it.

Anyone that plays blockland should know the answer. Can I build a base plate and then give it to someone else?

Ideas on how to make this sort of thing work:
- An Admin/Super Admin places several sizes of "Build Area" plates. (16x16, 32x16, 32x32 and 64x64?)
- At this point, building is locked for all other players (or when a command is turned on)
- Players can only start building if their bricks are completely inside a Build Area plate.
- This plate is then reserved for them - no-one else can build on it, but they can't build outside of this. They can also paint the plate and add effects to it.
- Players can change which plate they 'own' if all bricks on it are deleted. (The plate would also be changed back to whatever colour/effects it originally had)
- Admins and Super Admins can build on any plate and anywhere else with the trust of its relevant owner, and destroy any plates with the Destructo Wand as usual. If they build on an empty Build Area, it is reserved for them, but they can own any number of Areas they want. (To allow for Admin-reserved spaces)
- (Maybe) several build areas could be joined together with a special tool to make them considered as one and allow for different shaped areas? (as in, a player would reserve the entire area)

I believe Mr. Wallet used his money system and a series of triggers or something. It required a GUI to use.

a gui would be the best thing for something like this.

But aren't there client side issues with this?
