Did anyone mention Chrono Trigger DS to you?

Also if you're one of those newfangled children (loving children) that doesn't appreciate Chrono Trigger you can go die now.

Wow...I make this thread, go to sleep and find it 3 pages back filled with accusations of me being a fanboy.

First off, I did buy the DS lite and I did play it for awhile. I have even played my brothers DS too.

Secondly, I don't hate the DS, nor am I trying to flame Nintendo about it. I just don't like it, and I wanted my money back. It wasn't for me. The games didn't appeal to me.

This thread wasn't about Nintendo, or any other game company. Just about the hazards of impulse buying.

If it's any consolation, I don't like nor want the PSP either and I wouldn't buy a handheld from Microsoft even if they made one unless it had a compelling selection of games that met up with the expectations of a more mature gamer (sorry cooking mama and sudoku don't count). There are other reasons for my decision too.

If it weren't so expensive (about $200 with 2 games) I might have kept it, but alas, I did not.

Actually, I am also finding a hard time finding DS games that suit me lately. The last one I bought was that new final fantasy crystal chronicles game.

No, not at all.

By mature I mean something with a little more depth than puzzle games and cheap console ports. Of course there are some metaphorical diamonds available for the DS and other handhelds, but as a whole I don't think its justifiable, at least for me at that price.

Despite what you believe, this topic was not meant to be another console wars thread (nor bait for one). Just me sharing my personal mistake.

Also on topic, I never really became all that familiar with impulse buying. Sometimes I see something nice and I want to buy it but my mind nags me out of it. I guess it doesn't help that I don't care much for material possessions, except maybe my bed.

Usually I am like that. A lot of the impulse came from the pressure of leaving on holiday tomorrow hence I didn't have to long to consider it.

I still care for my material possessions though :p

Yeah good point, now everyone's memorized on the Wii's stuff. Last game i got was Final Fantasy Tactics A2. Touch generations was put on too hard. I'm happy Reactor doesn't need all that, it just sounded like that. I hate companies currently, especially first parties.

I agree, lately the console lineup of games (for every console) has become noticeably weaker. Not that many good games to look forward too.

PC's on the other hand have many new games coming out, many of which have piqued my interest.

forget no. Animal Crossing was one of the 2 games I got and I didn't really like it. It was like..."heres a house, now plant this stuff for me. Damn racoon thinking he was so funny.

Also, how come everyone else gets to be a animal and you get stuck as a butt-ugly human with a triangle for a nose?
