How old is your DVD or CD ROM?

Mine usually craps up after awhile and I have to replace it. May be that.

It sounds like you have a 10-year-old computer or something.
I've had my computer for 4 years and it has never crapped up on the dvd/cd drive.

Well, i have no problems with my current but my old computer had that problem, i did not like spening much on the reader so i would buy cheap ones anyway. But still, the lazers don't last forever, or his reader may be very dusty.

i checked inside a a few minuets ago... not the problem

the problem is that my computer doesn't know it is in his belly...
