Apparently lego liked badspots idea but didn't want to pay him for it.

Lego universe sounds almost identical to blockland with a little less user input.

IT IS DIFFERENT THAN BLOCKLAND. BLOCKLAND IS "THAT GAME WHERE YOU BUILD STUFF". LU ISN'T.

I've been having trouble finding more specific information about gameplay. So far it seems like it will be a WoW style "endless" world where you will simply find a plot of land and build there.

Does anyone know specifically what it will be like?

Blockland is endless and you can choose to have a plot of land

Wow..Here is something to help you guys out:
Badspot showed lego the game way back then
Lego gave him crappy offer
Badspot refused and went with another company
Lego then announced they are making a mmo type lego game...

I don't know if LEGO made him an offer, but he didn't go with another company. Notice the lack of non-Blockland logos around? Badspot is an INDIE DEVELOPER, fool! Fool is fun to ~~say~~ type.
