I've been kicked from my own server before without it going down.

Commonly when the host leaves the server the server stays up for a bit and then closes.

I've been kicked from my server with no one in it before.

I got invalid packet 12 and the server was still up. Gay :/

I've seen this in Team Fortress 2 on the 360, it had 0/16 players xD

Sometimes the server will stay up a few minutes after the host leaves before it goes dead- usually it's unjoinable or just a ghost server. You can also be kicked from your own server, and it will do the same thing. Just luck of the draw, I guess.

I have looked at servers and that has happened.  It occurs when a server just goes up.  I was waiting for a friends server.  It came up with 0/10.  I logged on and there he was still loading.  I think that if you refresh at the right time when a server is starting it says 0.
