Your IP is now recorded when you are jailed. You will not be allowed to login to another character or create a new character until the jail time has been served. To avoid problems with multiple user households or crap characters where people dont remember the password, the jail IP record is erased after 30 minutes (this may be increased).

So when you are jailed you must either:

A. Serve the jail time.
B. Get a new IP
C. Wait 30 minutes.

So any characters created in the past don't have their IP recorded? Because I have a criminal way back when I actually cared about being a criminal, and I don't want to sit out the 1:30 on it just so I can play the game. I suppose there is the whole "If you can't do the time don't do the crime" thing, but I haven't played on that character in 2 months...

Oh well, either way, I have waited well over 30 minutes.

Gives unfair advantage for people with changing IP connection, but it's better then nothing.
