I once thought of Smashes Idea, however, I had a different theory.

When we die, our minds are set on, what happens next. Then, your brain subconsciously places you in a scenario what you think is after death. For example. If you think you get reincarnated after death, your brain will place you in a dream where you are reincarnated. But I gave up on that long ago.

The human mind has many fail safes to keep it from going insane and thus having an inability to reproduced and further the human race. One of these is the belief of an afterlife. without this fail safe we would go insane... Unless you are an emotionless lump of a person such as me.

This thread is a little to religious, thus my theory of religions being some thing humans came up with to not fear death or go insane.

Actually, I do not believe in a god. I am not that weak to tell others that there is some all mighty ruler protecting me, when clearly he is not.

However, I do believe in the after life by subconscious thoughts.

The after life was invented by religion no matter what you say. Even if you don't believe in any religion ever since you where a small child you would of heard it one way or the other and it'll always fill in the blankness of death.

Perhaps, However, I would rather living life thinking that theres something waiting for me at the end. When in reality, there isn't.

you die, get buried, and at night, all the people come up from the graves and live their night lives, then they quickly go back to their holes at 5:am to sleep?

the more you fear your death, the more you listen to the religions. the same ones that take money from you.

if people want to pay for false hope, then i should start a religion. people are dumb and want to give money. and im just the kind of starfish more then happy to make stuff up and take it from them.
