Author Topic: antivirus xp 2008 help  (Read 2965 times)

I recently hooked my computer up to the internet again, and a day after some stuff called antivirus XP 2008 installed itself on my computer. it did this when I wasn't on my computer(left idle) and installed to a folder called rhcl8bj0enb1 in my program folder. It has a uninstall, but it doesn't work. I do believe its some sort of virus, and I need something to help me delete it. Also, since it has installed itself on my computer Google and other search engines and most websites don't work. Anyone have any experience and or help for me?

Try booting in safe mode, locate and remove its folders.

1. Stop leaving us D:
2. Do what above poster said.

I got it a while back. I would uninstal it, and it would come back. I scanned for it with a real virus scan, then I went to safe mode and deleated it :D

I had a similar thing called Power Anti-Virus. I had to boot into safe mode and delete the registries for it.

I Re-activated my alwil Avast. Its currently taking care of the problem.
