Yea know tomorrow is the day that v8 was released, so by the off chance v9 is released on that day i will kill myself.

No, it would look perfectly normal. I've done it a few times on accident. You'll know you've messed up when you see things like Downloading: minifig.dsq and addons/Vehicle_Jeep/jeep.dts. The mission will load fine, you'll get all the way up to mission lighting, and then right when you'd expect to spawn the game crashes.

When I joined Rotondo's Beta Server (he had it up, unpassworded accidentally, ages ago), I crashed as soon as the loading screen appeared rather than when I 'spawned'.

EDIT: Does minifig.dsq mean there's new player animations/player types?

Also, a problem: If I join a server with an add-on I don't have, and then download it myself (not extracting), won't I end up with two copies of the same thing? (Add-Ons/vehicle_stuntplane/stuntplane.dts and the one in the vehicle_stuntplane.zip folder)

v9 always gives preference to the .zip version.

The only wave animations I remember are the right arm attack, right arm up (shift back) and both up. (shift up, fire some left-hand weapons)

Well, it won't be hard to just go in and delete every folder you have.  Except for Music of course, which contains the .oggs.

the v9 is released is the day the servers will clog. almost like what happened yesterday day when the forums went down.

Yes, they'll still work, and the updater will move all your old saves into a separate folder.

Trader, If i was in charge of V9, I wouldn't use a simply arm-waving animation when activating an event.
I would like it if you had one of those lego switches to active an event
