all cards numbers 2-6 count as +1
all red 7 count as +1
black 7, all 8 and 9 are neutral (don't add anything)
10 and face cards are all -1,
the whole deck altogether ends up as +2
now the count just tells you when the opportune moment to bet is, it also tells you if there are more face cards than number cards, since the player gets more from face cards than number cards. An example is this: +5 is better than -3 because there is more face cards in the first count than the other.
