Joining Servers

I have my add-ons saved in the add-on folder. In their little zippys. The server I joined also did. When it gets to objects, I start dl'ing all the mods I already have...   Why is this?

That happened to me in V8 even though they installed it right. Maybe they installed it wrong, I don't even know how they could though.
