Author Topic: Server dead...  (Read 1389 times)

Since getting v9, I had been able to host servers without any problems. My ports are fowarded, and yet when I tried to host a server today, my friend called me and told me it was dead. I have no clue what the problem is, and I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.

I'd appreciate a real answer, from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

your time is up, mr. badspot doesnt want you to host servers anymore.

You, stay the forget out.

Check your ports, they may have closed.

ther so big and fluffy

I don't think my ports are the problem, but if so, how would I check if they have closed?

192.168.1.1 into like Internet Explorer.
Check for open ports.

I'd say a firewall you put Blockland on for exceptions doesn't regitnise it anymore since the update also updated the EXE. I'd say, check your firewalls to make sure it's still on the list right.

@FlyGuy
I checked and I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.

@MegaScience
Good suggestion, but I don't think that's the problem, because it was fine a couple days ago. I'll check, though.

Ya, I port forwarded and couldn't host. I found out Windows Firewall was on and was blocking my ports so I couldn't host. For some damn reason, Windows Firewall's menu wouldn't open so I couldn't shut it off.

I don't know why, but the other day ot just let me open the menu and after shutting it off, I was able to host :D

I checked Windows Firewall, added Blockland, and now it works perfectly! I'm slightly confused, however, because the firewall was off...
Either way, thanks for the help.
