Author Topic: ► Map Packaging Tutorial  (Read 8814 times)

  • Right click on desktop and click New>Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  • Name it: Map_YourMapName (Replace YourMapName with whatever name you choose).
  • Drag and drop the following into that .zip:

.mis and .ter of your map,
map preview image (name of image must be exactly the same as the .mis and .ter name),
terrains1,
water1,
sky1,
interiors2,
shapes2,
and a .txt file including the following information:
Code: [Select]
Title: YourMapName
Author: YourName
(This .txt file must be named exactly the same as your .mis and .ter name)

  • Put the map in your Add-Ons folder, delete any other .ml files your map may have created before and load it up in order to create a new .ml file inside of the .zip for it to be ready to be uploaded.
1: You don't need to include these if you used ones already included with the game.
2: If there are/is any/one. If you used one(s) included with the game you don't need to add them to your map package.

I've been asked about this a few times so sticky this please.

My map I've made in torque constructer won't load with the mission so what should I do now?








Note: Using things from the Map_Kitchen, Map_Slate, or Map_Bedroom is acceptable.  Badspot usually moves the ones that include textures from the game to the Fail Bin.
