Author Topic: Basic to codeing.  (Read 2479 times)

Can anybody please give me an example of the basic's of codeing and what they do?

Thanks if you can.

It's best to ask a scripter or Badspot so he/they/she (Zor) can give you an example of coding.

I don't advise constantly spamming scripters, Badspot or other people asking how to code (COUGHken1o1COUGH)

Look at other scripts to figure out how things work.

The best way to learn how to script is to look at scripts and see what does what and why certain things are there.

This is how I learned pretty much everything I know about TorqueScript.

Unrelated to coding, but fairly important: It's spelled loving Coding.

I made my own cashmod from scratch by do'n this today :D and having Jookia to ask stupid questions :D

That was Ephi-- he rounded up some farm animals and sacrificed them or something.

Actually, Ephi just poops scripts.  After he goes to the bathroom, he just reaches in the pot and sees if he gets to release anything cool.

RTB2 is composed of mostly beens, he wanted an early release.

Ephialtes actually brought a book on torque script a long time ago.
He keeps it very close to his heart.

i messed around with cars and junk in v8 but now i tryed in v9 and now i made a little car thingy with jeep and stuff but when i try to add it into the game it wont show up in my addons list.

What part of "Look at what other's did" is so hard to understand? I can probably guess what you're doing wrong, and that can easily be fixed by the 50 examples in your folder at this very moment.
