How do you run a Rec file?

I need a program that can edit/play a .rec file, I really need to find something that can edit it, I made a funny vid and I need to test it and edit it, please help meh.

.rec files don't work. They never have worked.

I managed to get one to play back okay in v8. It just freezes up for a while since it has to reload stuff when you start it.

Except all the names were replaced with some "MsgJoinServer" thing. Apart from that, everything worked fine. (I think this actually happens in one of the Blockland videos on Badspot's website as well)
