Author Topic: OSHT RAM DIED  (Read 14567 times)

Nah, you got it all wrong. According to them, RAM has nothing to do with speed. You just hacked the universe :0

HOLY forget its hilarious that people think I'm the stupid one.
Oh hell yea. RAM has nothing to do with loving speed ftw
LOVE your logic. Now to real life:
I'm talking about running the same amount of loving programs on both computers, one that has 2gb RAM and one that has 512mb RAM. A game... lets say... Battlefield 2. Have fun!
I'm not saying RAM is the only thing that contributes to speed, but you'd have to be one dumb forget to think it has nothing to do with speed.

On second thought, lets just leave it at "I don't know stuff about computers". If I don't know stuff, you must know less than stuff, therefore you're insulting yourself. I'm fine with that.

Too bad I have a A+ certification on pc repair bitch

Also speed is determined by the CPU. The faster that is, the faster the computer is.  RAM is there for when you start the computer and run a program, it throws necessary files onto it so the computer does not have to load it constantly which slows it down.

Oh, ok, so DDR3 (faster ram) and faster ram clock speeds are pointless. Thanks for the tip.

Eh, I'm done with people who think they know more than me :)

No.... RAM has alot to do with speed its what makes your webpages come up faster and when you start up your comp. etc. I built my comp I know my stuff.
Until you can build your comp. from scratch as fast as mine you smart.

loving stuff, fine, I'll play.

1. I was not talking to you.
2. I have three computers I built myself and modified right beside me.
3. I get PAID to fix computers.

RAM has forgetloads to do with speed:
The amount of data it transfers per second. If ram processed at a forgetlow speed, you'd have fun sitting in front of your computer for 10 minutes until it starts up. Your computer can dump more objects into larger amounts of RAM for faster fetching, thus speeding up program load times, and reducing the amount of pagefile used. I'm not going to exhaust the rest of my knowledge until more dumbass comments are made.

Ok damn man calm down, I thought you were another 11 year old that thought he knew stuff.

Right now i think im running DDR2 but DDR3 on my video card i got a killer system get it all from new egg pretty cheap stuff but good quality.

Yea, pretty much all graphics cards these days have GDDR3, better for high-resolution textures :D

Also newegg ftw.

Right newegg ftw! have you seen those new quad cores wish I could get one but maybe in a few years when they drop the price. Im on a.... AMD dual core Athlon X2 currently.

I have 512MB ram, I host a server with about 40k bricks, and it lags a little if you look at all the bricks at once, but else its ok.

If you have another computer that is now junk, salavage the memory from it, or ask your friends if they have computers you can salavage from.

I'm sorry, but that means jack.
