Author Topic: How do I replace textures?  (Read 2251 times)

Like, for example, say I was making a map with Lava in it, so I turn the water into lava and I get hurt when I touch it, but it obviously doesn't look right. Therefore I need a lava texture, so after I make one (actually if anyone has a good one could you show it to me?), how would I replace the regular water texture with the new lava one?

Basicly, me want blue water turn to red water.

Copy the original water your using. Paste in your map's folder. Open the copy using paint or some other image editor. look for lava texture. Paste

Um...I went into Blockland/base/data/water and copied TSwater1 and pasted in my map's folder, then opened that in paint, pasted the lava texture, saved, so now what?

open [YOURMISSION].mis, look for the water datablock and change the directory to ./[urwater]

K so um err, yeah,

How do I open the .mis up? I used WinZip but it said it's not a valid Archive.

Ok, I still don't know what to do. What part do I change?

What do you mean Post the Console?

open your blockland folder and look for console.log

I don't see anything named console.log, only a text file in the main Blockland folder, is that what you want me to post? If so why do you want me to?
