Author Topic: Can someone tell me the console cmd for clientside timescale?  (Read 1604 times)

I didn't know there was one.

Clientside timescale would mess with your BL and lock it up pretty quickly.

It would be kinda strange. Your in a Dm and all a sudden the guy next to you goes in slow-mo.

No, it just crashes you because you and the server aren't synced.

I THINK.

It does not i have tried it but i just forgot the console cmd. :(

I've tried it once or twice, a slower timescale than the server works flawlessly (for the client) in normal situations but I'm not sure how a desync with the server would affect deathmatches. A faster timescale causes "lag" for the client and won't let you move any quicker. People in the server have commented that my movement became jerky to them (looking weird) when using either timescale.

If you're talking about normal timescale, /timescale #

In the console that'd be serverCmdTimescale(#); I think

No, that's serverside.

It's not exactly a supported feature and could potentially allow cheating (it makes jump challenges a lot easier), so I think it's best not to release it.

I know, but I don't think he knows the difference...
