I have an AV input on my computer. Does anyone know if I can use it with media center? Also if not, what software can I use instead?

Yes just see if your tv has the same port but as a output.
also media center os plox

Well I was planning on connecting my Xbox 360 directly to my PC, and use it from Media Center. By the way, I have Vista Home Basic.

need to upgrade to take advantage. also use ethernet to connect the 360

The ethernet is connected. What do you mean by upgrade?

I think he means that Home Basic doesn't have Media Center, The other Home does, I know that.

But I do have Media Center... :cookieMonster:

Edit: Just checked, actually I have Home Premium.

Ok, so how do I set it up so I can play on my PC? The Xbox 360 is directly plugged into my PC AV input. I don't know what to do next.

1. You probably have output.
2. If it is input it will look just as stuffty as your tv without the vga adapter.
3. I don't know why you keep bringing up media center, if you want to play things from your pc to the 360 you don't need any special cable.

1. It's an input.
2. I don't care if it looks as bad as my TV.
3. I want to play my Xbox on my computer monitor through the computer. I don't see what's so special about an AV cable.

How about the ability to use good resolutions instead of stuffty RCA? Your monitor will just stretch it beyond recognition. I spent $9 on the VGA cable so I could play it on my monitor. Best choice ever :cookieMonster:

what motherboard and video card do you have

Update: I got it to preview correctly when setting it up, but when I try to click next it says "IR Hardware not detected." I don't need this IR Hardware seeing as I will not need the ability to change channels. Anyone know how to disable this detection?

I have no idea what motherboard it is, it just came with my factory computer. HP m7750n is the model. My video card is an Nvidia 8800GTS with 640mb of ram.
