Author Topic: Blue Screen of Death and random crashing  (Read 609 times)

For the past 4-5 days my PC has been randomly crashing and now when i try to start it up it says Verifying DMI pool data then it says Disk read error press Ctrl+alt+delete to restart only rarely will the PC actually start so i can log in and every now again for the past 2 days i have been getting the Blue Screen of Death show up when ever it crashes and i want to know if it can be fixed before my dad goes and kicks it again so it wont start at all. And i don't know my PC stats because i wont start up properly so i can find out the stats all i know that its a Windows XP.
I have ran a full system scan and there's no virus of what it can find.

If anyone can help please say what i might be able to do to get it fixed that wont cost alot on money(if possibal)

I had that KIND of problem cause of a virus...
You did the system scan as i did but sometimes the virus deletes itself after doing its damage.
Mine screwed up my comp because it corrupted my modules in teh Windows category so when i started any program it got BSOD and after 3-4 days when i started windows it said:
File C:/Windows/system.32(something) is corrupted.
If you get that message then youre screwed and you need to reinstall the Windows.
Also before you reinstall i STRONGLY advise you to get drivers to your comp cause when you do clean install do windows it doesnt have anything on it.
(it takes about 24 hours to get windows working again)
But as you said you dont know youre PC stats (i assume that those are video accelerator, processor etc. ) then i guess youre gonna have to give it to some guys who know this stuff.
This may(im not sure) be the probable cause or you just have damaged the computer from  outside by hitting it with something thus dealing damage to hard drive etc. vital component...

I get BSoD too. No one seems to know why.

Thanks guys there's no more crashing or BSOD my bro who's in the Royal Signals for the British Army he used a ********** program to wipe the PC clean and we re installed windows

I have a program that wipes your harddrive clean and it said its use by the army.
