In other news:

I am playing spore on max settings at 1680x1050 with hardware enabled 16xAA and believe me, the game still looks like stuff. Clipping issues aside, the game is simply really lackluster in the graphics department.

Tell me about it. I thought that it was supposed to be one of those that computers couldn't run, but I play at full settings and it looks like my laptop could :/

I could forgive the 2002-level graphics if it weren't for the shallow gameplay and overall quality...and DRM.

I have this feeling that it will be just as much as a let down as Spore. The situation seems really similar.
