Need help with the top of the log challenge

Earlier today I was doing the Log Challenge and I made it all the way to the second-to-top log. But how do you get up to the gold hook? It appears as though the log with the hook on it is floating in mid-air and the only way to get there is by swinging and hoping (which I know - by experience - is Self Delete.) So can someone help me by explaining how this is possible? Here are some screenshots of the top logs:

Im having a problem with the TreeHouse challenge. when i get up past the liefs, my hook goes threw the tree and i fall down again...

you want to get on that log highlighted in yellow. shoot your hook at red X, then swing in direction that red line. you will probably have to rehook onto that yellow log as you wont get much height.

Once on that yellow log shoot directly up (its best to jump then shoot in air) at the log above you (2nd highest log).swing forwards and backwards to get height (not round in circles) then rehook onto that top log when you are VERY close to it and at height of swing. If you are going at a speed you arent confident with when you are supposed to hook onto that top log, return to yellow log and try again at another angle.
