Author Topic: [Tutorial] Exporting objects and vehicles with Blender.  (Read 2959 times)

I just wrote this tutorial because I know many people want to use Blender and some have trouble exporting. I made a document explaining the basics and attached it to the post.

It'll explain how textures work, how the Parent / Child outline works, mount points, hubs, and flat / smooth shading with some extra notes added.

I vote to have this stickied.

wow, this will help people alot, i was thinking of making one but you beet me to it, although after reading it, it still doesn't solve my problem. How would you increse the draw distance of a model?

I'm not sure what you mean. I've never had any problem with draw distance using this method with Blender. The detail level might be what you're talking about, but I've never used one other then Detail32, but I know there are other detail options.

hmmmm, whenever i make a projectile it fades away at about, 15 studs away. But its only with projectiles

I think thats a problem in the script..

I'd export with Blender rather than MS3d
