before i eraced the sound pack and it worked fine and if your wondring i am using windows xp

Yeah failed mods don't need to stay up. If a mod is, say, abusive ( /slay script, ID discrimination stuff) then Badspot doesn't want it in the game, PERIOD.

You said you can't delete on other operating systems. You clearly can.
But what Otis was trying to say, not matter how much you delete it. When you join another server you end up getting the defaults redownloaded into a new directory.
