I can't connect to own dedicated

both the commands just stop doing anything. one sits at "Connection established," and the other one sits at "posting to master server". Anyone know why this is? The blockland window sits at sending challenge request... and nothing happens for 10 mins or more. then it goes to the loading bricks, and... sits there. I guess if I leave it for enough time, it'll load, but in any case, it takes too long.

edit; Whoa! that was wierd... once it got to the Loading bricks, it took up every bit of internet coming from my house. not even WinMe could load the next Glenn Beck. (a file off the internet) and internet explorer just wouldn't load.

So does anyone know why this is happeneing? I could host a server easily, but I want it to be dedicated.

It took half an hour to get under halfway.

Query LocalAreaNetwork > Click your server name > Click "join" > ??? > Profit

If this doesn't work, too bad.

It's not twenty seconds. it's... way longer.

That's because it's posting to the master server and all of that stuff. Alot of the owners lag worser than others because they are the ones who is hosting.

They can be, but they are not meant for that. This is why the whole server lags a stuffload when the host is in it.
