im the options did you change your server to lan?

yes on the other computer the lan server is not there its set  to lan and where both on the same net work

I have that problem with my dedicated, I just gave up and went to it through internet, because I have ports forwarded.

cool i will do that but my ports are not  forwarded and i don't fell like forwarding them
so any other things that may help me do a lan server

If you're behind a router, you have to forward your ports in order to make ANY kind of server. So whether you feel like it or not, you have to in order to host a game.

No, I've hosted successful LAN games without port forwarding.

Are the two computers both connected to your router?

what do you mean.
on the same net work?
or both connected thru a cable to the internet consloe??

oh and this stared to happen in v8 too

Be sure you are connected directly to your router unless LAN works through wireless for you, and instead of having Wireless Connection enabled disable that and enable LAN connection (Start, Control panel, Network Connections, should be those options in there).

ya i fixed it so thanks for the tips
