I'm no good at drawing on the computer, I usually have to scan it in. Even then it usually ends up looking crap.

scan drawing. get inkscape. trace with bezier pen tool on new layer. delete old layer. You have cool image now.

By the way, i use the line tool in Paint.net most of the time, i use the ellipse tool for the eyes and head

If i were to use a mouse for drawing then wow, it would look terrible, but eh, i guess i could try using the mouse sometimes
