Cookie emote- good or bad?

Am I the only one tired of this cookie silliness? It's the only (slightly) useful emoticon we have, and it seems like the only thing we use it for is noobs spamming them in add-on threads that they like. From this point, they either need to be expanded into something bigger (an entire system for giving cookies?) or completely done away with. I loving hate anyone that says  "'s for anyone who etc.... "
This is kind of rant-ish and will probably get moved to Drama, but what does everyone else think?
