Lost blocks

I made a very detailed build. It was split between a large amount of distance. It seems that from one point on it couldent save my bricks, allthough it did everyother day till this hour....why?

Did you bother reading the message that comes up the first time you save?

Only bricks that you have seen are saved.

But that also means that blocks far off on a map are never saved?
