WARNING: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT RESET THE ROUTER UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE THAT SOMEONE YOU KNOW (ISP personnel, GeekSquad, relative who's really smart, w/e) CAN SET UP THE INTERNET AGAIN.

When you reset the router through that little pinhole via a paperclip, it TOTALLY RESETS EVERYTHING. It resets your DNS and external IP address to zeros, which will disable your access to the internet. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING.

Everyone assumes that resetting the router to get the default password will go handy dandy like a picnic. It doesn't. It resets all settings, all everything.

A bit obvious it'd do that, if he doesn't understand that, he shouldn't own a router anyway o.o

Oh, I knew that. I knew that after I did it, I would have to wait for mom and dad to discover that it doesn't work, think there' something wrong with it, and call someone to come out here and fix it, and then I can type in the password, and continue with my plan.

The only thing is, when I restarted it, nothing change. It's like it just turned itself off and then back on. it didn't erase anything.
