Author Topic: Yay for me... I got a road bike!  (Read 3145 times)

Tis quite fun! Cost me $520, but it's worth it. Now I'll need to get gloves, a jersey, spandex shorts (yes, I know, but it will be easier to ride with them and moar aerodynamix), shoes, maybe different pedals... oh, the money! Course, I want get it all right now.

Have fun. Don't get yourself killed unless there's a camera rolling. We'd love to see your first wipeout.  :cookieMonster:

If he has Clip Pedals, he might. Those things are hard to get used to. Rat Trap pedals, are what I use right now, as I have no money.

Hell yes. A good way to compare the speed you are at to a car.

I love my motorbike, but its so rainy down here you can barely ride it (lol) I get waterlogged a lot due to the huge mega puddles in the country where I ride.

I was talking about the bike.

Tis this bike, actually came with some clip pedals, egg beater style.

 Jesus christ, /jealousy much.

I need one of those. (Sadly, my bike does not exist on the internet.)

Yeah, I had a job for the summer, only worked like 2 days a week on average. I have $200 left over <3.

...for some random reason I thought we were talking about motorcycles...

I bought some $72 Walmart special and it's never let me down. I just need a wider seat. Seriously chafes my ass every time I ride it. But it's never broken down.

Trail biking is more fun! Get a nice aluminum mountain bike and go on a local trail a mile or two into the wilderness. I should make a headcam movie... It might be a bit too turbulent though. :/

There's a nice trail made just for biking and motor vehicles a few blocks from my house. It leads to a large hill and a mostly empty lake called Rocktank. We go there a lot, but I mostly have to bring to water bottles, since trail biking in the desert heat isn't easy.
