Shoes suck, boots are better, you can get stinking bog mud off of thick canvas and boots easier than you can off of jeans and shoes.

Long socks never stay up without suspenders which I'm way too young/don't care to wear. Edible socks? Fargin nasty if worn for even one second, short leave the backs of my ankles chaffed from all my cool shoes, so it'll have to remain ankle for me. Just the right length.
