Author Topic: Sirrus' FINISHED AM app. (picture heavy)  (Read 2260 times)

(note, you can skip the W.O.T., I just felt like typing it to describe the construction and a little bit about the build)

It's finally done! It's fuh-hu-hinally done! I cannot express to you in words how happy I am to be done with this build. It's not that I've spent a ridiculous amount of time on it, like, say, months or anything like that, it's just that the past two days all of my free time has been consumed by this build, and I must say it's turned out nicely.

It clocks in at just over 2,700 bricks, (2,500 being the minimum for an app) My goal here was to do a sort of small-type townhouse-ish build. What came out was a smaller house, but a nice one with amenities like a pool on the roof (yes, a pool on the roof) a deck type dealy and a nice garden balancing out the house.

Anyway, I've spent... let me think... 15 hours on this, reworked it twice, and started with very little idea of how it was going to turn out (it was to originally include three floors). I worked on it as I went, made changes and worked on elements as they cam e up, a very new style for me. Fortunately, I think it turned out and I'm proud to present me [AM] application.

The house from the front with me modeling the porch.

The side of the house. Note the pool on the roof, But there's some better pictures of it later.

The side/back of the house.

Pool time!

The garden. I'll have a better picture from the inside later.

Garage/front of house detail

Inside garage.

Garden detail. There's a door to the living room, office, and garage.

Living room. Those wooden looking poles are a cage-type thing around the stairs in lieu of traditional railing on the stairs.

Kitchen

My office

Stairway artsy shot.

And finally, the bedroom.

If there's anything else you'd like to see, please note it in the thread. Comment, Critique, x/10, and verdicts from the AM judges with comments or suggestions, please.

Nice work Sirrus, looks like it flows well for a modern house. I like the Textures also. 7/10. Guarden could use some work though.

Thanks :D

Yeah, at the time I was working on the garden, all that I had even close to done was the garage. I actually think that the garden was the first thing complete. It was finished before I put the kitchen/study on the house, so it wasn't always closed in on three sides. I also was going to put some flowerbeds 'n' such around the doors, but never got around to it.

Uhm..... I vote no,
sorry.

what do you think Ref; Greek?

Edit: I will give an official answer once I can see it in-game.

I like it. if i were you. i wouldn't be so picky. because if your like that. who the forget is going to join you clan. all of the good builders are already in other clans. i would think about what you just said.

I didn't even loving decide yet. I only saw one other of his builds and it totally stunk. It's hard to say.

Was that the house one that I built in your clan's city build one time?

Yeah, that was pretty bad. I guess I was kind of thinking it was better than it was considering I just stepped up from box houses. Then this one is the next step up from what I built before.

I'll get there eventually.

A lot of the points of it have spam, like the Kitchen Sink, it can use bigger bricks than the 1x1s on the faucet, not to mention it could use some Letter Plates to cover up the blocko-texture to make the floor better looking than it is already.

Best house in a long time.

Of mine, or anyone?

I was thinking about doing letter plates, but if you think about it, it's a serious decision that has to be worked into the build, for example doors. They won't work if I come back in and do tiles.

I'd love to do tiles, but I just have a bad feeling it's not going to turn out swimmingly.

Troll :D

I'm genuinely flattered. Thank you.

Dat'll be $5. Kay?

Not really, it's a very mucho nice house.
