You're extremely wrong.
1. It's not 2D, however it is a side scrolling game.
2. As far as I know, you do not make levels in Garry's Mod, you make contraptions.
3. Instead of making things completely out of pre-made objects (although you could do this) you use basic shapes/make complicated shapes using basic shapes.
4. There is a story-mode.
5. The characters are far more customizable.
I could come up with a lot more, but I'll just put it this way:
The LittleBigPlanet creator mode is comparable to Garry's Mod.
But in order to judge something, you should know what you're talking about.
Worm, i played The Collector's Lair, and my jumping skills fail, i lost like 2 times now, i'll have to look on Youtube how to do it, and if that don't work, i may need your awesomeness again D:

Also, i have a weird glitch going on, the sound/music keeps stopping, it did this the day we got it, which was like a day or two before the game was actually released, also, i decorated the pod black with the black square sticker, i play one user made level, i return to the pod, it's all skipping and the pod changes textures out of nowhere, it's the same ones every time i paint the pod, it then ends when it gets to a green one, i did see a cool texture that was black with a green octagon (I think that's it) repeating on it, odd though, i don't remember having a sticker like that, this never happened to the pod when we first got it, or at all for that matter, it's only been happening recently, if i play another game while the pod is green, i come back and it's gone and the pod goes back to it's normal cardboard look
