Author Topic: Which Xbox 360 should I get?  (Read 2935 times)

Im getting a Xbox 360 for Christmas and I dont know which one to get. Personally I want to get the Halo edition seeing as Im really into it and Ill probably get the helmet for voice. Please help

I would have said Xbox 360, but if you want the Halo Special Edition version, hell, get it.

The reason I made this was because the Halo edition is £5 cheaper than the Elite and that's feckin' dear!

Jesus, this is hard to decide...

You can still buy the special edition?

If you want cooler colors, go for the special Halo 3 one.

Otherwise, normal 360. Don't get Arcade, it sucks.

The elite is a waste. All you are getting over the platinum is a larger hard drive.

Xbox 360:
  • $299.99
  • 60 GB HDD
  • Headset + Wireless controller
  • Standard Cables
Xbox 360 Elite:
  • $399.99
  • 120 GB HDD
  • Headset + Wireless controller
  • HDMI cable + standard
Xbox 360 Arcade:
  • $199.99
  • 256 MB Memory Card
  • Wireless controller
  • Composite cable only
The Arcade is a joke obviously. It all depends on what you will be putting on the hard drive. Do you expect to ever fill 120 GB? Don't forget with the fall update we will be able to install games to the hard drive. If you wish to get more hard drive space later on you will be paying $150 for a 120 GB HDD.

*Edit* Wikipedia article has a nice table to compare features.

Also, why does the list function totally forget up post formatting?

It doesn't sound like he has had an Xbox 360 before, so opting for the Aracde would leave him without a hard drive and headset.

I think I might just get the original. Elite's dear enought without getting an extra controller and game. I just need the console, controller, charger, extra controller, headset and some games.

EDIT

Mind changed. Elite. Want.

My father found a guide to increase HDD size using external drives.

Didn't it have to have FAT memory or something like that?

I still think it's bull that you can't just use your own drives like the PS3.

I suggest the normal Xbox, you don't need any more.  Or get the Halo.
