Author Topic: Looking for a tutorial on Dedicated Hosting  (Read 1480 times)

 I'm looking for a step-by-step tutorial for Dedicated Server hosting, If anyone could teach me how to create a named, proper dedicated server, that would be excellent. Thanks.

Open dedicated.bat in your blockland folder.
Wait for it to load.
Open Blockland and click Join Game, then Query LAN.
Join your server.
Use IGSO to change map, server name etc.
Make sure you have port forwarded.

Oh, by the way:
If you want to load a big save:
Find your save in Blockland/Saves and copy it.
Paste it in base/server/temp and then rename it as temp.bls (overwrite existing one).
Then join your game using the method above, and then type /reloadbricks.

 CAN'TEDIT: Are you able to chat with the console?

Yes use the command: say('MESSAGE GOES HERE');

There's a say();? I've only ever heard of talk();

 Apparently they don't. It just forgets up other people's chat and gives me a syntax error.

Nevermind, It's working now.
It took my admin powers,I don't think it's working.

 Yeah, thanks to this, I don't have any events in the save now. Just great.

I ruined it?

talk("Message");

Try that (remember the quote things ("))

I find that, in a way, forcing them to get an Add-On just to do a simple action. You should really list the manual way before the way where you require Add-On download.
