Author Topic: Name a graphics card I could buy  (Read 3676 times)

Something to work with my puny 300 watt PSU and my 2.6 ghz dual core processor.

Edit: Please keep it under $100.
Double edit: I have PCIe 16x I believe.

you could totally run 4 GTX 280s 9600gt

NEED MORE INFO.
like what? For a newb@tech he seems to know enough to know he can't just go buy a random graphics card and pop it in, the information he gave is sufficient, except maybe if he has pci-e, pci, or agp.

except maybe if he has pci-e, pci, or agp.
Now that would qualify as more info, wouldn't it?

>:(

I got a 9600GT for just over 100$ on new egg

But now its deactivated

Any of those would work as long as you have 2 spare 4-pin molex connectors or an available 6-pin PCIe connector.

I don't get this, I can run my current card without connecting that. I understand that its because the motherboard can't put enough power through the pci-e slot, but how can I run my card without a connector? :D

The card lowers its power hotshot ;)

When I do connect it there is no performance increase.
What's the point?

idk

Maybe you'd see something at a better resolution.
