My thoughts on Online elitism.

After watching the strange actions of people online, and examining my own, Ive come to a conclusion about online elitism.

People act superior to others online because they seem to have a subconcscious Idea that the internet is an alternate universe, where they in reality quite inadequite, can become superior.

I beleive that if you examin psychologicaly the mind of a "online elitist" that you will find self doubt, a need to be more then they are, and a history of unhappiness in real life.

Therefor from my examinations, i have determined that although a person who acts in a superiorist, or elitist fashion, may be mentally intelligent, but is most likely Psychologicaly incompetent. Any questions or comments welcome, flames will be ignored. I has asbestos.

I think most of what you say is true, but I'm sure there are people who just have a huge ego and/or a need to feel/make everyone believe that they are better than everyone

I never said I was, I simply said that this is my conclusion. So whoever else has come to this conclusion, I agree with.

Im actually quite sober. And just because I smoke pot, should not, and does not, make me stupid. Im an avid reader, and although Im not good at math, I can gaurantee my reading and comprehension levels are above yours.(yes, I am admittedly a bit elitist in that category)

Your brain works differently when you're high, and, in some cases, could be regarded as in a state as stupidity.

This "online elitist" is also true with, a group of friends, a "clik" or w/e, a gang, a family, work, any sort if group. A lot of things have at least one main person that acts tough or badass. The only difference, is that online its usually someone who is actually smart, and not a complete dumbass.

The internet is basically one giant place to vent or make your snake appear huge. Everyone does it sometimes. It's not a bad thing though, it's what make the internet so interesting and awesome.
