Author Topic: Exporting animations from blender  (Read 1855 times)

I just recently learned how to texture and export models in blender, and I can get them to show up fully textured in Torque. However, I'm having trouble exporting animations that work in Torque. I made the animation for a simple box object, and exported it, but it didn't move in Torque.

Does anyone know how to export animations and have .dts objects animate in Blockland - such as the snail in Autumn Pond?
Also, is it possible to place vertices individually without placing meshes in blender? Thanks

I've never done something animated in Blender. I'm going to try something simple now.

As for placing vertices, I remember doing it once, but I have so idea how I did it. I just duplicate (Shift+D) an existing one. It's kind of wierd, but it works.

Can maya files fit with Blender?

Can you create animated add-ons or just normal add-ons with blender?

Okay I'll just do that from now on, thanks.

You can create animated .dts objects with blender.

if you want to do animations, you must have an armature in pose mod, make it the parent of the mesh you want to animate. Then press ctrl left arrow, you should now be in the animation mode, look up a tutorail on doing keyframes to get it actully moving, change the window on the right to the action wondow, or animation or something i can't remember. Rename the animation to whatever it is you want it to be called, then export it, i know it works, but whether i have explained it right i do not know, its how i do animations for things like the military jeep, TF2 weapons, so it works, just hard.
