I used to play this. It was fun. The main problem with the game is that they packaged every map ever made for it with it, so you get maps ranging from expertly crafted great looking maps that demonstrate the capabilities of the engine to "my frist box." Some were unique and interesting enough that you could put aside the fact that it was just three textures and simple shapes with no lighting.
Being able to dynamically alter the map online and have the changes occur in real time and be visible and functional to your clients is a plus. It's a lot easier and faster to make stuff in an external editor than it is in game, however. I can't believe that some people had the patience to make some of these maps that are in there, it took me like an hour to make a tiny box fort and a trench. (which by comparison, I could have made in around 2 minutes in Blockland).
In any case, I uninstalled the game long ago.
