Author Topic: Is this a decent graphics card?  (Read 3811 times)

I had just bought Nvidia Geforce 6200 OC, I was pissed off because I whenever I had tried to play most steam games, it's laggy as hell and it reboots my computer.

No

Are you handicapped? That card is four generations old now.

No, that sucks ass. How much did you pay for it?

Also, what computer do you have (model number and brand). I'll figure out a better option for you (you should be able to return it right?)

8200 is an AGP card

Nice CPU BTW, its what I have. Its all you need. Yes, you need a new MOBO, and graphics card. Need update now.

I have a Geforce6200 PCI too, my computer is like 4-5 years old and doesn't have any AGP or PCIE slots. Yes I know I need to upgrade too.

Anyways, just because it's the best YOU can get, doesn't mean it's good.

Try to get one that supports sli, I think the 8000's do (the 9000's support three :D) This allows you to upgrade your computer much easier.

WUT.

My onboard 6100 has 256mb (DxDiag is being stupid and saying its 314, maybe because it's shared? If someone can explain, please do.) and it is twice the card that thing is.

I could even run most Source games on it.
